The 2nd Session Workshop on Mirror Analysis of International Merchandise Trade Statistics

Event Name: The 2^nd Session Workshop on Mirror Analysis of International Merchandise Trade Statistics (IMTS)

Event Date & Place: ASEAN Secretariat, 25 – 26 July 2023, at Jakarta, Indonesia (hybrid).

Participants: Representatives from National Statistics Offices (NSOs) and Customs Authorities from Lao PDR, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Viet Nam.

The 2^nd Session Workshop on Mirror Analysis of IMTS data led by Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung as the resource person from General Department of Viet Nam Customs (GDVC) and organized under ASEAN-Help-ASEAN Framework (AHAF) as a follow-up from the first session conducted on February 2023.

It aims to discuss the methodology to conduct mirror analysis including the compilation method applied to identify data discrepancies, the IMTS compilations applied in each country, implementation of mirror analysis tools using Power BI by ASEANstats, and to discuss the findings and possible solutions of the discrepancies among participating countries.
